A Mother’s Prayer Her screams ripped through the air like lightning tears the night. The sound was piercing, breaking through the monotony of the washer and dryer. I could almost feel the blood in my veins turn icy while at the same time, my heart seemed to have made its way to my throat, pounding there, blocking off my airways. I rounded the corner at the bottom of the stairs as fast as I could. The scene in front of me was far worse than anything I might have envisioned, even if I’d...
Russia and China are set to begin an 8 day "war games" session. They have stressed that their "Peace Mission 2005" maneuvers will focus on countering terrorism and piracy. “The exercises neither aim at any third party nor concern the interests of any third country,” the Chinese Defence Ministry said. The exercises, beginning tomorrow, are in three stages. During the first stage, Russian and Chinese military chiefs meet in Vladivostok to discuss security in the Far East. During the sec...
Call it historical fiction, I guess. And is there a way to post a picture in the menu to the left of my blog? Thanks for any insight y'all can give.
Note to the NFL: Ever heard of a mill STONE around the neck? There HAD to have been a better choice for teaming up than the Stones. Of course... if you're after publicity, now you've got it. "You call yourself a Christian, I call you a hypocrite / You call yourself a patriot, well I think you're full of s---," Hmmmmmmm... ...
In raggin' on Dave for not posting a blog in - oh, a couple of weeks - I found myself faced with the inevitable retort: "Why don't YOU start a blog?" Soooooooo... here it is. Life in rural New England this weekend has been... relaxing. A trip to the coast with my family Saturday. Water was warm... waves were great... family QT was AWESOME. Can always use more of that. Great worship service today. Challenging message on compromise. When is it ok, and when is it not? How do you ...
