As I swipe cobwebs out of the way, I can't even remember the last time I posted here. It's been THAT long. I don't even remember what caused me to stop. Offended by someone? Nah. I've got pretty thick skin. I don't offend.. I mean GET offended easily. No time? I wasn't working full-time when I last posted, so that probably wasn't it. Run out of things to say? Doubtful. No one's ever accused me of being the quiet type. I'm not sure what it was. I think maybe real life just got ...

I've been a hard core coffee drinker my entire life... the stronger the better. I had tried tea a few times, but just never really enjoyed it. It seemed to lack... something. I decided over the past couple of weeks that I'd like to try to drink tea. It's better for you... and it will be cheaper in the long run because I always end up buying Dunkin Donuts coffee (coffee I make at home can't compare), but with tea, I don't have a taste for an expensive one... so making it at home will be fin...

Go ahead -- give it your best shot. Let's see how many great captions you can come up with to go with this picture. Winner gets... ummmmm.... well, the satisfaction of knowing he/she is very clever. Give it a caption, or vote on the ones you see.

A friend of mine was telling me that she makes "snow icecream." Now when I was little, I remember bringing in a dish of snow and putting maple syrup on it... but honestly, it can't have tasted that good because it's not one of my fondest memories. LOL. This recipe was different though. It consisted of mixing evaporated milk with sugar, and then adding snow until it got "thick," whatever that means. Another friend told me she puts hot cocoa mix in hers to make it chocolate. I've ne...

After wearing eyeglasses for 20+ years, I finally decided that I'd like to try contact lenses. What prompted the change? This probably will sound odd to many, but I'm a bit OC when it comes to having clean glasses. I can't stand to have any fingerprints, scratches, or even DUST on my lenses. Drives me absolutely crazy. It even drives me crazy to look at hubby (who couldn't care less) and see HIS specs all nasty. "How can you possibly SEE through those?" I ask, which garners me a solid, "...

The administration of Stuyvesent High School must be so proud. Their illustrious high school has made the front page of New York Magazine. Researchers find it shocking that 11 percent of American girls between 15 and 19 claim to have same-sex encounters. Clearly they’ve never observed the social rituals of the pansexual, bi-queer, metroflexible New York teen. Alair is wearing a tight white tank top cut off above the hem to show her midriff. Her black cargo pants graze the top of h...

So I'm riding home from school with my five-year-old son and we're listening to Christian talk radio. The guy on the radio says something about what it takes to "come to God". Noah thinks for a minute and says, "Or you could just die. That's one way to get to God." Master of the obvious, this child. LOL.

What do you think? Was salvation the same for the men of the Old Testament as it was for those after Jesus came? This is something I really struggled with early on in my faith. How could salvation be the same for both if Jesus hadn't even been born when Abraham was alive? And if they weren't saved the same way, then what does that say about the consistency of God? How could the Bible say that there is ONE way to the Father (Christ) when so many righteous men lived before He arrived? Here'...

Ok... I'm motivated again. After following the WW diet sporadically for the past 6 months... with little to no will power, I decided to break down and join. I cancelled my membership to Curves (since I was rarely finding time to get in there anyway) and instead will put the money towards a WW membership. I didn't know if it would be worth it or not... I already know the ins and outs of the diet thanks to the wonder of the internet... but I found that I WAS motivated. I hit my first...
