Blacklisted Again...
Gotta love it... LOL

The maturity level here sometimes astounds me. You know what, though? That's ok... because I'm not nearly as sensitive as some here at JU can be. I just have to sit back and laugh.
Comments can be deleted. People can silence your voice. You can only hope that perhaps a grain of the truth you were trying to share gets through. Intentions make no difference. It doesn't matter that you are being truthful, that you're sharing your heart, or your opinions, or that you may actually be concerned about someone.
I can see blacklisting someone for using profanity on your blog. I can see blacklisting someone for hurling baseless insults that are nothing but inflammatory. What I don't get is bloggers who silence anyone who says something they don't like. Yep... that's mature.
I guess, if the truth hurts or comes a bit too close to home... for some blacklist is the only option. It's sad, really. I wish someone would post a sign... "Wrong door. The teen room is two doors down on the left..."
I hope eliminating my option to comment on your blog has made you feel better. I hope something does.

If you're talking to me, I didn't blacklist you, I disabled comments on the whole article. It was turning into a "let's psychoanalyze Marcie" fest when the whole point was just that I think that the general mood at JU lately has been crappy.

Hi HC.
Well, if you are blacklisted somewhere too bad for them! Their loss sister.
Don't let it get you down or make you angry. Some people think when you disagree with them you don't like them. I actually know a lot of adults like that, so, what can you do? Nothing.
Just be yourself. I like you that way!

Please tell me you are about to point us at the amazingly mature and thoughtful comment that caused some bigoted fool to blacklist you.

Hmmmm... warm and fuzzy. That's me!

And that caused me to not be able to comment on your thread about M&M as well? Or was that one disabled for comments too? If so, why post it to the forums? If not, my bad. The principle still stands though. I've seen it over and over here. If you don't like what someone has to say, just blacklist 'em... that'll show em. Unfortunately, it often has the opposite effect, because as a result of the banning, the issue gets more coverage than it would have had the comments been left alone. Ah, well.
Just be yourself. I like you that way!
You too, girlie... much. Thanks!

Now if I were to reference it, it would generate points for the user, wouldn't it? Not playin' that game anymore... LOL.

Do you really care that I want an Eminem CD for Christmas? I think I'm just going to write for me for a while...if other people like yourself choose to read, that's fine, but I don't need to be psychoanalyzed anymore. If you choose not to read, that's fine and dandy, too. Whatever floats your boat.

if you don't want to hear people's opinions about something you write, don't post online about something people are going to comment on...

Meh....blacklisting tells alot about people. Im blacklisted at at least two threads.....one of whom I cant even figure out why Im on his list...but oh well.
I have yet to blacklist anyone. Its free speech and they are entitled to their opinion, however dumb it might be. Not saying Im right, but many people just get all whacko for no reason and go off...then I just keep them around for entertainment purposes just to see them get annoyed. It has worked incredibly well for one person in particular, who has it seems taken a break from commenting and getting in a tizzy....I miss the spazzyness.
Ive even been blacklisted so that I was denied the ability to comment on a thread that someone made that totally went off on me...while the writer and their surrounding groupies all giggled and swarmed in the corner with reply after reply.

Marcie: ON the contrary, I think you need to be analyzed a great deal more, and by someone who has the credentials to really help. Your masochistic tendency to play "Hit me... why are you hitting me? Hit me... why are you hitting me?!?" really make me wonder if you are all there.

I suppose it's never occurred to you that you get back what you put in to the place, hmm? In these past few weeks I have been quite wowed at the kindness of JUsers, and even wrote about it in my article about JUser "angels." We have had homeless people find a home here, (Gid) a computerless person be given a working machine (Mason) a very sick cat provided medical care (Gene) and an emergency vet bill paid in full (me.)
I have found sympathy, understanding and damned good advice about my various health problems, been entertained with jokes and personal anecedotes, and informed about various political issues.
I have ALSO been called a "b*tch" and a "c*nt" (within the past 24 hours!) and been accused of scamming JUsers for money. (in regards to the vet bill.)
Am I dwelling on that? Pffft. Who cares?
The problem isnt JU, Marcie, it's YOU. You've been pissing EVERYONE off lately, look in the mirror and ask who's changed, us or you? US....or you? JU is the same as its always been, you just cant handle it anymore, for whatever reason.
I am truly becoming concerned about the children left in your daily care.
Do you realize the games you play? I should have known YOU couldn't uphold your end of the deal--ignoring me. I think I've been doing pretty good. But here's another one of your poops. Why am I not surprised?
